Upper-Level Section Summaries and Abstract Writing Assignment
This assignment aims to foster a deeper engagement with complex philosophical texts by requiring students to distill the essence of each section and synthesize the overarching argument in their own words.
Every three weeks
students submit the following over two of the readings from that timeframe.
Assignment Components:

Section Summaries:
For each section of the assigned philosophical text, write a concise summary in your own words. Capture the main ideas, arguments, and evidence presented in each section. Aim for clarity and accuracy, avoiding direct quotes unless absolutely necessary.

Overall Abstract:
After summarizing each section, write a new abstract that encapsulates the entire paper's argument and key points. This abstract should be a stand-alone piece that accurately reflects the author's main thesis and supporting claims.
